C7 and C9 Screw In Bulbs
Classic Christmas bulbs
C7 and C9 bulbs set the standard for Christmas light bulbs, they
are the go to bulb for everything from decorating the tree to
outlining the house. These bulbs are bright, have decent life,
and can last a couple seasons. C7 bulbs and C9 bulbs both come
in similar styles, both have a standard Steady-Burn bulb type
that has transparent colors and does not twinkle. There is a
Twinkle bulb style that has transparent colors and a arm that
heats up from the filament causing the bulb to twinkle randomly.
One of the most loved styles though is the opaque or painted C7
and C9 bulbs. These bulbs have a coat of opaque paint on the
outside that gives the bulb a very soft look when lit.
C7 bulbs normally pull about 5 watts per bulb while C9 bulbs pull 7 watts. We do carry some higher wattage bulbs that will give you more light, but they
obviously require more power. Generally you can only a little over 100 bulbs in one
continuous run, more than this you are going to run into bulb failures and potentially wire failure which is a
definite fire hazard. The last thing you want to do is overload some wire with lights and burn down your house.
